In a horrifying incident, a 13-year-old girl, who was gang-raped by four men, was raped again by a cop when the survivor went to the police station to file a rape case.

A case has been registered against six people including the victim’s aunt. Station House Officer Tilakdhari Saroj has been suspended and a criminal case has been filed against him.

The cop is absconding and three police teams have been formed to find him. Three other accused have been arrested.

The girl’s father filed an FIR on Tuesday in which he stated that four men lured his daughter and took her to Bhopal on April 22. They allegedly raped her there for four days.

The accused brought her back and dumped her before the Pali police station.

The accused police station in-charge then handed over the girl to her aunt and was called to the police station the next day for recording her statement. Next day, the accused official took the girl inside a room in the police station in the presence of her aunt and raped her, the complaint stated.

The police officials stated that the accused cop has been charged for rape and under the stringent POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act.

The SHO is suspended and he is a named criminal so we have formed teams to arrest him. An NGO brought the girl to my office. She had given them the details. After I was informed of it, I ensured that a case was filed,” said Lalitpur police chief Nikhil Pathak.
