In a bizarre incident, four people have been arrested for putting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Varanasi office up for sale through an online advertisement on OLX. He put it on sale for Rs 7.5 Crore.
The accused had allegedly clicked the picture of ‘Jansampark Karyalaya’ (Public Relation Office) of PM Modi which represents Varanasi in the Lok Sabha and put it on sale on an online marketplace, OLX.
Varanasi Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Amit Pathak stated that the Varanasi office of PM Modi is located in the Jawahar Nagar locality and falls under the Bhelupura police station limits.
“Yesterday, it came to our notice that the prime minister’s office here has been put up on sale on OLX website. An FIR was immediately lodged at the Bhelupur police station, and the matter is being investigated,” Pathak said.
“Four people involved in the case have been taken in custody,” he further added.
The police has arrested the accused and legal proceedings are being carried out against them.
