Legal Troubles Faced By The Kashmir Files
But the movie is not all about appreciation and kudos. Besides being loved by many, the movie has faced some legal troubles also.
A Jammu and Kashmir Court had restrained promoters of the blockbuster movie ‘The Kashmir Files’ from showing the scenes of late IAF squadron leader Ravi Khanna. The orders were passed in connection to the injunction sought by Khanna’s wife Shalini Khanna. After attending the special premiere on March 4, she approached the court to remove those scenes alleging that they are contrary to the facts.
A PIL was filed in Bombay High Court wherein the court directed the promoters to immediately remove and delete the scene and incorrect facts displayed or amend the scene.
Another PIL was filed by a person named Intezar Hussain Sayed from Uttar Pradesh alleging that the movie hurts the sentiments of Muslim community. However, the court dismissed his plea.
