In the most mysterious and controversial death case of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, NCB has also registered a case against Rhea Chakraborty and others in connection to the retrieved Whatsapp messages revealed yesterday. ED and CBI are already investigating the matter.

Narcotics Control Bureau is the third agency to be roped into the probe. The development came after a day when Enforcement Directorate wrote to the NCB about the drug angle discovered in the case through the purported deleted Whatsapp chats talking about banned drugs including – MDMA and CBD oil.

NCB has registered the case under Section 20 (punishment for contravention in relation to the cannabis plant and cannabis), Section 22 (punishment for contravention in relation to psychotropic substances), Section 27 (punishment for consumption of any narcotic drug or psychotropic substance) and section 29 (punishment for abetment and criminal conspiracy) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

The FIR involves Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik, her talent manager Jaya Saha, Sushant Singh Rajput’s former manager Shruti Modi and Gaurav Arya, a drug dealer.

NCB director, Rakesh Asthana has confirmed the registration of FIR and stated We received a letter from the ED on Tuesday evening stating that during their probe into financial aspects they found that drugs were supplied to Rhea and Sushant. An NCB team will now conduct an inquiry and people involved will be questioned.”

NCB team will be led by Deputy Director of Operations (NCB) KPS Malhotra to investigate the case. The team includes officers from Delhi and Mumbai. All the accused will be interrogated separately.

In another development in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, CBI has claimed that three persons who have been questioned on Wednesday have confessed about the data deletion from the late actor’s electronic devices. Those three individuals include Siddharth Pithani, Samuel Miranda, and Dipesh Sawant.

It is communicated that a huge amount of data was deleted by a mystery group from laptops, computers, and electronic devices. Siddharth told the CBI that 8 hard drives have been destroyed around the time of Disha Salian’s death and Rhea Chakraborty leaving the place.

“I think there’s something very sinister in this entire episode and it appears that there is the involvement of some big people in the case. The first thing that should happen is the suspension of Mumbai Commissioner of Police and DCP of that area,” commented Vikas Singh, lawyer of Sushant’s father.
