After 2018 #MeToo allegations, Bollywood director Sajid Khan is again on the radar of public shame following one more sexual harassment allegation on him. On Wednesday, the Indian model Paula took to Instagram accusing Sajid Khan of sexually harassing her.
“When #MeToo movement started, a lot of people spoke about Sajid Khan but I did not dare to because like every other actor who has no godfather and had to earn for a family I kept quiet. Now I don’t have my parents with me. I’m earning for myself. I can dare to tell that I have been harassed by Sajid Khan at the age of 17,” says Paula’s Instagram post.
The post was captioned, “Before democracy dies and there is no freedom of speech anymore I thought I should speak!”
Paula alleged Sajid Khan of harassing her on the cost of giving her a role in Housefull 4. She also narrated the incident through her post, “He spoke dirty to me. He tried to touch me. He even told me to strip in front of him just to get a role in his upcoming Housefull movie.”
Paula said she regrets her decision not to speak about it at that time. But now she realizes it well that how badly it has affected her life. Paula through her post communicated that such sexual predators should be behind the bars “not only casting couch but manipulating and stealing away your dreams”.
The #MeToo movement sparked in Bollywood in 2018 after actress Tanushree Dutta accused Nana Patekar of harassing her at the set of a movie. The movement gave many a courage to open up and many shocking stories revealing names of several big names for exposed.
Three women had accused Sajid Khan of sexual harassment during #MeToo movement in 2018. Several other actresses and a journalist had also accused the filmmaker of sexually harassing them.
