Narcotics Control Bureau has summoned Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal in connection to the probe against Bollywood drug nexus. The actor has been asked to appear before NCB for questioning on December 16.
Arjun Rampal was earlier grilled on November 13 last month. The questioning lasted for almost seven hours.
Actor was questioned following the arrest of his Australian friend Paul Bartel in the matter. It was reported that Bartel has been in continuous contact with Agisialos Demetriades who is an alleged drug peddler in the case and was booked by NCB in October. Agisialos is the brother of Gabriella Demetriades, the live-in partner of Arjun Rampal.
Architect by profession, Bartel was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau in connection to the drug nexus busted during the Sushsant Singh Rajput death case. Rampal was questioned over the nature of his connection with Agisialos and Bartel, and the other drug peddlers.
After the November 13 interrogation, Arjun Rampal told the media, “I am fully cooperating with the NCB investigations. I have nothing to do with drugs. The medicine found at my residence (in the November 9 raids) was prescribed by a doctor. The prescription has been handed over to the NCB. The NCB officials are doing a good job and I fully support them in their investigations.”
Agisialos was booked in another drug case in which his connection with Nigerian cocaine supplier, Omega Goodwin was discovered.
A drug nexus was busted during the ongoing investigation in connection to the Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput death. He was found hanging on June 14. The demise of the actor led to a huge outrage not only in the country but across the world. Later, the investigation got a new direction and a drug nexus in Bollywood was discovered.
