On 14 December, the Bombay High Court ordered a probe to investigate the missing of 88 devotees from the holy place, Shirdi.

Manoj Kumar Sahni filed a petition on the Aurangabad bench of Bombay High Court stating that his wife went missing in August 2017 when he along with his family visited Shirdi.

The Bombay High Court Division bench headed by Justice T V Nalawade and Justice S M Gavanhe, issued orders to the Ahmednagar Superintendent police to look into the matter and investigate the possibility of an organ racket or human trafficking.

“As many as 88 people went missing from Shirdi in one year,” said the divisional bench of Bombay High Court.

The next hearing is scheduled for 10 January 2020.
