Looteri Dulhan will no more appear a movie character to you when you will come to know about Monica Malik. Ghaziabad police have registered a case against a woman for duping eight senior citizens after performing marriage with them. Her family and the matrimonial agency have also been booked by the police.

FIR has been registered under Section 419 (cheating by impersonation), Section 420 (cheating), Section 380 (theft), Section 384 (extortion), Section 388 (extortion by threat) and Section 120B (criminal conspiracy) of Indian Penal Code.

The devious bride’s history came into light with her last marriage that she performed with a construction contractor, identified as Jugal Kishore from Ghaziabad’s Kavi Nagar locality. Distressed out of loneliness after his wife passed away and son chose to live in a separate house, he started looking for a partner. He then came across an advertisement by Delhi-based matrimonial agency- Khanna Vivah Kendra, who finds matches for divorced individuals and senior citizens.

The duo got married in August 2019, and a few months later, Monica Malik vanished from the house with jewelry and cash. “On October 26, 2019, Monica fled with valuables worth Rs 15 lakh,” told the police.

When Yugal Kishore approached the matrimonial agency, he was threatened for lodging a false complaint, and he was also asked for money by the agency. Kishore then lodged an FIR against the woman and other accused in Ghaziabad police station.

The police, during the investigation, discovered that Monica had duped eight senior citizens using the modus operandi in the last ten years. Sha vanished weeks after the nuptials with cash, jewelry, and other forms of valuables. Surprisingly, all her marriages were fixed by the Khanna Vivah Kendra.
