Bollywood Actor Akshay Kumar has served a defamation notice to a YouTuber who named him and made false allegations in a video citing Sushant Singh Rajput death case.
As per sources, the actor has filed a Rs 500 crore defamation suit against YouTuber Rashid Siddiqui who alleged in his YouTube videos that Akshay has helped the main accused Rhea Chakraborty escape to Canada. Reportedly, Siddiqui also cited in his YouTube videos that Akshay had secret talks with Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray and his son Aaditya Thackeray with regards to Sushant Singh’s death.
The YouTuber also alleged in his videos that Akshay was unhappy with Sushant Singh bagging the role of MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.
Siddiqui was earlier arrested by the police for spreading fake news and dragging the name of Uddhav Thackeray and his son Aaditya Thackeray in the case. The court later granted him anticipatory bail while directing him to cooperate with the police in the investigation.
As per reports, the 25-year-old Siddiqui is a civil engineer by profession from Bihar and owns a YouTube channel by the name of FF News. Sources quoted that Siddiqui had earned a whopping amount of Rs 15 Lakh in the last four months for his content on the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.
Siddiqui caught the attention of Police after one Advocate Dharmendra Mishra from Shiv Sena’s legal cell filed a case against him. It was later discovered that Siddiqui used the SSR death case to increase his followers and earn more money while spreading fake news. As per reports, his YouTube channel grew from 1 Lakh subscribers to 3.70 Lakh subscribers in the last few months on the basis of the content regarding the SSR death case.
While Siddiqui’s earnings were merely Rs 296/- in the month of May, however, in September, he around Rs 6,50,898/- with his videos on SSR death.
