Renowned comedian Raju Srivastava passes away at the age of 58. His family has confirmed the same.
He was admitted to the AIIMS, Delhi, on August 10 after experiencing chest pain and collapsing while working out at the gym.
He was shifted to ICU and was on life support.
Raju was born on 25 December 1963. He belonged to a middle class family and had aspirations to make his name in the entertainment industry. He was living his dreams since the 1980s and shot to fame after participating in The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2005.
He worked in several movies including Maine Pyar Kiya, Baazigar, the remake of Bombay to Goa and Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiya. He also participated in Bigg Boss Season 3 and Nach Baliye season 6.
He was the chairman of the Film Development Council Uttar Pradesh.
