Almost after one month of the sad demise of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, his father has filed an FIR against late actor’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty. The complaint has been filed in Rajiv Nagar Police station, Patna accusing her of instigating the actor to commit suicide.
Breaking the silence over son’s death, Sushant Singh Rajput’s father Krishna Kishore Singh has filed a complaint against SSR’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, her family, and friends accusing Rhea of extorting money, changing his personal staff, giving him overdose of medicines, and abetting the actor to commit suicide.
The FIR named six people – Rhea Chakraborty, three of her relatives, Indrajit Chakraborty, Sandhya Chakraborty, and Shobhik Chakraborty, and two of her friends – Samuel Miranda and Shruti Modi.
The FIR has been registered under Section 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint), Section 342 (punishment for wrongful confinement), Section 380 (theft in dwelling house), Section 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust), Section 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) and Section 306 (abetment of suicide) of Indian Penal Code.
A four-member team including two inspectors and two sub-inspectors has been sent to Mumbai to collect the necessary documents and case details.
SSR’s father decided to register the FIR in Patna because he is unable to visit Mumbai due to health issues and has also alleged that Mumbai Police is not investigating the matter seriously as he has not been asked to record his statement till now. Patna’s SSP has communicated that the FIR is registered under special circumstances and therefore kept in the classified category.
In the six-page long FIR, SSR’s father has accused Rhea, her family, and few of her friends of cheating, keeping him confined and pressurizing him to take the drastic step.
In the complaint, it is alleged that Rhea used to pose conditions before Sushant whenever a movie is offered to him. She used to ask him to accept the offer only if she gets the role of lead heroine in that movie.
SSR’s father also accused that Rhea told Sushant that his house is haunted and got shifted him to a resort and later to her house. The FIR further stated that in her house, Rhea used to give Sushant overdose of medicines of dengue which as per his father he never had. She also used to ask Sushant to get a treatment for talking weird sometimes, said the complaint.
The FIR also alleged that she has replaced Sushant Singh Rajput’s trustworthy staff with the new staff who are known to her. According to his father, Rhea and her family were controlling his son and has also diminished the contact with his family. The complaint alleges that the actress has changed Sushant’s old sim card with a new one on the name of one of her close friends Samial Miranda.
The father has stated in the complaint that Sushant has talked many a times about the people who are controlling him and trying to send him to a mental asylum.
SSR’s father also alleged that out of 17 crores in Sushant’s account, 15 crores were transferred to various accounts that didn’t belong to late Bollywood actor. Krishna Kishore Singh has demanded a probe into his son’s bank accounts, credit cards, and all the expenditures in the past.
The FIR also talks about Sushant planning to leave the industry and looking to buy land in Coorg, Kerala. After which Rhea started threatening Sushant of showing his medical documents in media and destroying him through her connections.
Late actor’s father added in the FIR that on June 8, Rhea left SSR’s residence with all the pieces of evidence like the laptop, cash, jewelry, cards, documents related to his treatment after Sushant opposed Rhea. She also left after knowing that the bank balance of the actor is reduced.
Sushant’s father also mentioned the SSR’s manager Disha who committed suicide four days back before Sushant’s death. Rhea had herself hired Disha as Sushant’s manager. The actor was also under fear that his girlfriend Rhea may implicate him in the case. SSR’s father further added that Sushant called Rhea many times but she blocked him.
More than 40 people have recorded their statements until now including Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Aditya Chopra, Rajeev Masand, and many others. Mahesh Bhatt had recorded his statement on Monday, Dharma Productions CEO, Apoorva Mehta on Tuesday, and Karan Johar is yet to be questioned. Padam Shree awardee Kangana Ranaut is also on the list to record her statement with Mumbai police.
