A police constable of Rajasthan Armed Constabulary, who was deployed at Delhi High Court, shot himself with his own service weapon on Wednesday. He joined the duty at 9.30 am on Wednesday after coming back from a leave.

“An information was received that a constable of Rajasthan Armed Constabulary deployed in High Court security has reportedly committed suicide by his service weapon,” said Deepak Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi).

The 30 year old deceased was a resident of Kotkasim, Alwar. He was on leave and joined his duty at Gate number 3 of the Delhi High Court.

“The constable of the Rajasthan Armed Constabulary had come for duty earlier in the day and was stationed near Gate number 3 of the high court,” the Delhi Police said.
