In a bizarre case, a civil court in South Korea ordered a man to pay 1.5 million South Korean won (Rs 90,000) to his ex-girlfriend for urinating in her designer Louis Vuitton handbag.
The incident was reported in October last year when a 31-year-old man got into an argument with his girlfriend Gangnam-gu. They were arguing that she was splurging money and putting herself in debt.
As the argument between them escalated, the man brought his girlfriend’s expensive Louis Vuitton handbag, unbuttoned his pants and started urinating in the handbag.
The woman filed a police complaint. Originally, the man denied the allegations and stated that he had only pretended to urinate in the bag.
However, the National Institute of Forensic Sciences tested the sample. The sample tested positive and matched his DNA. Subsequently, the Seoul Central District Court ordered the man to pay 1.5 million won as compensation.
