A police officer has been suspended after being caught on camera while masturbating before a woman complainant and her daughter who was there to lodge a complaint regarding a land dispute. An FIR has been registered against him and was suspended on June 26.
“An FIR has been registered against him and he has been suspended. Action is being taken. Superintendent of police,” said Deoria, Shripati Mishra. An FIR has been registered against the Station House Officer (SHO) of Bhatni Police Station, Bhisham Pal Singh under IPC Section 354C (Voyeurism – an act intended to outrage the modesty of a woman) and public servant disobeying the law.
The officer was suspended after the video went viral over the social media platforms and sparked the controversy seeking strict action against him.
The woman stated that this is not the first time the officer is misbehaving. She had recorded him after being enraged with his repeated misbehavior as she has been frequently visiting the police station to file a complaint about a land dispute.
As the woman narrated, she had gone to the police station in context to an ongoing land dispute along with her daughter on June 22. The complainant alleges that the police officer while discussing the matter, started doing vulgar act during which her daughter filmed
“I ignored his misbehavior for the first 2-3 times and wanted him to lodge our case in the land dispute. But then one of my relatives had said that she also faced a similar incident at the hands of this officer. This is when I decided to film him,” said the complainant.
