A 39-year-old man on Wednesday died after he was hit by a speeding SUV in the national capital’s Janpath area. The deceased identified as Girdhari used to work as a mason.

Delhi police has arrested a 27-year-old man, identified as Arun, for crushing Girdhari to death. A case has been registered against him under Section 279 ( Rash driving or riding on a public way) and Section 304 A (Causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code at the Parliamentary police station.
The accused is a resident of Karol Bagh in Delhi and was working as a butler for an NRI who was staying at a hotel in the city.
