In yet another controversial statement, Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati stated that he doesn’t believe in Supreme Court and Constitution of India. In the viral video, he can be heard saying that those who believe in the Constitution, politicians, and police will die a dog’s death.

On Thursday, Uttarakhand police arrested Jitendra Narayan Singh Tyagi marking the first arrest in the Dharma Sansad hate speech case. Formerly known as Waseem Rizvi, Tyagi was the chief of Uttar Pradesh Shia Waqf Board and converted to Hinduism last month.

Tyagi was nabbed in Narsan border in Roorkee, Haridwar after finding enough evidence under Section 153A, Section 295A, and Section 298 of the Indian Penal Code. . The police have also issued notice to the other two main accused Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati and Sadhvi Annapurna.
“While Tyagi has been arrested, notices for appearance under Section 41 A of the CrPC have been sent to Yati Narsinghanand and Sadhvi Annapurna,” said Uttarakhand DGP Ashok Kumar.
In another viral video, Yati Narsinghanand on Thursday was seen threatening police and protesting against the arrest of Yati Narsinghanand.
“I am with him in all the three cases. Did he do it alone?” he said. He also stated that you all will die and your children too.

When the police was asking him to cooperate in the investigation saying “Tyagi is understanding the situation”. To which, Yati Narsinghanad replied, “But I am not. He became a Hindu counting on our support.”
Priest of Dasna temple in Ghaziabad, Yati Narsinghanand had organized a Dharam Sansad in Haridwar from December 17 to December 19. During the event, controversial statements were made by allegedly giving an open call for Muslim genocide.
On December 23, an FIR was registered against Tyagi. On December 26, Uttarakhand police added two more names – Annapoorna and Dharmadas – to the FIR. The names of Yati Narsinghanand Giri and Sagar Sindhu were also added on January 1.
On January 2, another FIR was filed against 10 people including Yati Narsinghanand, Sagar Sindhu, Dharamdas, Parmananda, Annapurna, Anand Swaroop, Ashwini Upadhyay, Suresh Chahwan, Prabodhanand Giri and Jitendra Tyagi.
The arrests came after tremendous pressure and after the Supreme Court pulled up the state government for not taking any action even after so many days.
Supreme Court on Wednesday has directed the Uttarakhand government to file a reply in connection to the Haridwar hate assembly case. The state government is directed to submit its reply within 10 days.
