Bihar Judicial Academy has organized an inspiring valedictory session of the 30th Batch of Civil Judges (Jr.Division) of Bihar Judicial Services on Sunday.

The event was graced by the Supreme Court judge Justice Mukeshkumar Rasikbhai along with Justice Sanjay Karol, Chief Justice, Patna High Court cum Patron in Chief, Bihar Judicial Academy; Justice Rajan Gupta, Judge cum JAD-I, Patna High Court cum Executive Chairman, Bihar State Legal Services Authority; Justice Ashwani Kumar Singh, Judge cum JAD-II, Patna High Court cum Chairman, Bihar Judicial Academy along with other Judges of Patna High Court.

“There is no alternative to hard work and Judges should not count their leaves, rather devote all the time to the service of the people,” said Justice MR Shah.

During that session, Justice Shah personally interacted with all the 337 judges of the 30th Batch of Bihar Judicial Services and motivated them to give their best to society.

He mentioned the characteristics of a good judge. He reminded all of them that honesty, integrity, impartiality, empathy and complete dedication for the work are hallmarks of a good Judge.

Chief Justice of Patna High Court, Justice Sanjay Karol also addressed the batch and stated how these young officers were provided training from the top intellectuals even amid pandemic. In his address, he also stated that a judge should always be humble and behave properly with the advocates and the litigants.

“Patna High Court and the people of Bihar have high hopes from these young Judges and they need to work hard and follow the necessary Judicial discipline to justify that hope,” added Justice Karol.

“Due process of law cannot be compromised on account of haste to merely contain the figures of pendency. On the other hand due process of law should be used to instil confidence in the general public,” said Justice Rajan Gupta.

Justice Ashwani Kumar Singh Judge asked the young judges that they should keep evolving as a person and not let their knowledge stagnate.

The welcome address was given by Alok Kumar Pandey, Director, Bihar Judicial Academy and Bharat Bhushan Bhasin, Additional Director of Bihar Judicial Academy delivered the Vote of Thanks speech.
