Bollywood stars have received huge backlash on social media in recent days and now the same reason has landed four Bollywood superstars in legal trouble. A case has been registered against Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh for promoting tobacco products like Gutkha and Pan Masala.

The case has been registered by Muzaffarpur-based social activist Tamannaah Hashmi under Section 467, Section 468, Section 439 and Section 120B of the Indian Penal Code.

Recently, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar withdrew himself from the promotional advertisement of Pan Masala. His decision was criticized for promoting tobacco products. He apologized to everyone on social media and also announced that he will donate the fee that he has got for doing the advertisement for the Pan Masala brand.

The complainant alleged that these stars have been using their popularity for the greed of money. Reportedly, the court will hear the matter on May 27.
