In a video that is getting viral over social media platforms, few Pakistani journalists can be seen boycotting the press conference of Water and Resources minister Faisal Vawda over his rude remarks in connection to the corruption charges.

As per reports, when a journalist asked about the increasing corruption, Vawda replied that he was only answering because the journalist was elder to him. “If this was someone else, he would not have even spoken on it and also put aside the mic,” said the minister.

In the video, one of the journalists can be seen questioning Vawda about the increasing corruption. He stated that corruption is on peak and various government officers are extorting money in the name of welfare. He further pointed out that they have been waiting for the past two hours and the ministers didn’t give them time. The journalist said that the authorities have insulted them and therefore we are boycotting.

Reportedly, the journalist was questioning Vawda over the Rs 309 billion Mohmand Dam bid awarded to a joint venture of advisor to Prime Minister on Commerce, Textile, Industry and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood’s firm Descon.

Even after several apologies, journalists continued their protest and stuck to their decision not to cover the press conference.
