An FIR has been lodged against the UP’s former cabinet minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati, rape complainant woman, her daughters, and other aides for allegedly striking a deal to drop the charges against the minister.
Ghaziapur SHO Brijesh Kumar stated that an FIR has been filed former Cabinet minister and the Chitrakoot-based woman, her daughter, and her unidentified accomplices over the charges of dishonesty, criminal intimidation, forgery for the purpose of cheating, and using a genuine document fraudulently.
Samajwadi Party leader Gayatri Prajapati was arrested in 2017 under rape charges. Recently, he was released on bail for two months on medical grounds.
Advocate Dinesh Chandra Tripathi on Thursday has filed an FIR against Gayatri Prasad Prajapati and Chitrakoot based complainant in Ghaziapur police station
Tripathi in the complaint mentioned that the complainant woman in February 2019, has asked him to submit an affidavit favouring Prajapati and other co-accused in the rape case. When Tripathi opposed her, she threatened him of dire consequences.
Then on March 26, 2019, the woman got his news published and hired another lawyer for her case. He also alleged that the woman took money, plots, and houses from Prajapati to drop the charges against him.
Tripathi mentioned that when he warned the woman that her conduct is against the spirit of law and justice, she lodged a complaint against him in Chitrakoot in June 2019. The police found no substantial and filed a charge sheet.
The complainant woman has lodged an FIR against Tripathi on charges of rape, sexual assault, causing hurt by poisoning, dishonesty, wrongful confinement, and POCSO Act, 2012 on December 27, 2019.
Tripathi stated in her complaint, “In connivance with Prajapati, she then lodged a case of rape against me at Gautampalli police station on July 7, 2019. She took a plot worth Rs 1.5 crore in Aashiana from Prajapati in return of her daughter turning hostile in the case against Prajapati.”
He also added in the complaint, “Prajapati threatened to get me killed once he is released from jail. The woman also threatened to get me killed by Prajapati’s men once he come out of jail. Now unidentified miscreants chase me when I go out for work, and when I return.” Citing the threat to life reasons, he has sought police help in the matter.
