On 12 February, the Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the transfer of Justice Ranjit V More who is the third senior-most judge of Bombay High Court to Meghalaya High Court
The Collegium has also proposed the transfer of Justice S Muralidhar from Delhi High Court to Punjab and Haryana High Court. Appointed as a judge of the Delhi High Court in 2006, Justice Muralidhar, convicted members of the Uttar Pradesh Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) in the Hashimpura massacre case and Congress leader Sajjan Kumar in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case. He was also a part of the Delhi High Court bench that first legalized LGBTQ sex in the 2009 Naz Foundation case.
Earlier, on 14 February, Justice Satyaranjan Dharmadhikari the second senior-most judge of the Bombay High Court has tendered his resignation.
Justice Ravi Vijaykumar Malimath is also among the one who has been recommended for transfer from Karnataka High Court to Uttarakhand High Court.
