Another inhumane gangrape in the country!
A 50-year old widow woman in Chatra district of Jharkhand was allegedly gang-raped by three youths. A steel glass was inserted in her private parts as per the police reports.
The incident took place on late Thursday night in Kobna village in the Hunterganj police station area.
“As per the FIR, the three youths, who are from neighbouring areas, barged into the widow’s house, who lived alone, and gangraped her, ” he said. Two accused persons have been arrested and a manhunt has been launched to nab the third man,” Superintendent of Police Rishabh Jha said.
The victim has been admitted to the Hunterganj Community Health Centre. Hospital’s medical officer-in-charge Dr Ved Prakash told that the survivor is in a critical situation.
On Sunday, another horrific gangrape of a middle-aged woman was reported in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh. She had gone to a temple where she was allegedly raped by a priest Satya Narayan and two disciples. All the three accused has been arrested.
As per the post-mortem report submitted by three-panel doctors, a rod was inserted in her private parts, lungs were damaged, ribs and one leg was broken. Following a huge blood loss, the woman succumbed to death that night.
In the Badaun gang-rape and murder case, a police officer has also been suspended over the negligence in handling the case. As per the family of the deceased, police didn’t act over their complaint and sent the body for post-mortem after 18 hours.
