In a significant development in the case, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has confessed to his rivalry with the deceased singer-politician Sidhu Moose Wala but has denied his role in the brutal murder.
Earlier in the day, there were reports that he was involved in the killing of the Punjabi singer. But, the Delhi Police has refuted the claims.
The police official told that it’s a case of revenge killing and he had no hand in this murder.
“Delhi Police says Lawrence Bishnoi has not confessed to the murder of singer Sidhu Moose Wala. Bishnoi said during interrogation that Moose Wala was murdered for revenge and he had no hand in his murder,” the police said.
Lawrence has been lodged in Tihar jail and is facing almost 60 cases against him.

As the fans still mourn the death of the Punjabi singer, another name has come to light who takes the responsibility for the brutal murder that took place on Sunday.
Sachin Thapan Bishnoi, who claimed to be a member and nephew of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, made a call to a news channel and claimed that he killed Sidhu with his own hands. He further added that it was not a publicity stunt but was an act of revenge as Moose Wala was involved in the murder of their brother Vicky Middukhera aka Vikramjit Singh. Vicky Middukhera was an Akali Dal leader and was shot dead in Mohali last year.
