Bombay High Court has suspended all legal proceedings at all its benches to mourn the loss of legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar. Subordinate courts in Maharashtra, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, South and North Goa, and Daman and Diu and Silvassa will also remain closed for today.

Lata Mangeshkar died at the age of 92 due to multiple organ failure. She was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai after being diagnosed with coronavirus disease and pneumonia.

Maharashtra government has announced February 7 as a public holiday to mourn in memory of the iconic singer. The Indian government has also announced two-day mourning. To pay her tribute, the National Flag will fly at half-mast from February 6 to 7 throughout India.
