However, the state govt has extended the curfew till April 7 in view of the law and order situation.
“As the present circumstances are not normal for the law and order situation. In such a situation, curfew is extended till April 7 midnight,” an order issued by Karauli District Collector Rajendra Shekhawat stated.
The administration has made arrangements for class 10 and 12 examinations, allowing students to reach their exam centres after showing their admit cards.
“Relaxation in curfew was given for two hours on Monday for purchase of essential items. Central and Rajasthan government offices and courts remained open and employees could reach their offices after showing ID cards,” DC Shekhawat said.

31-year-old Netresh Sharma, who is posted at Karauli police station, got praise all over the internet after his picture went viral.
“Two bangle shops were also burning at Futakot. A house next to the shop was seen engulfed in flames from all sides. The cry of two women and a child was coming from the house. The child was crying loudly. The woman was shouting someone save my child. When I heard this sound, I saw women surrounded by fire. I ran there and covered the child with a cloth. Told the women, I am running out with the child in my lap, you should also run after me. Taking the child in my arms, I came out of the flames. Both women also ran after me. The lives of all three were saved safely. After this, left them in a safe place away from the house. The women thanked for this,” Netresh said.
