Actor Suraj Pancholi has filed a complaint in Versova Police Station alleging harassment by various media houses in unverified news reports showing his connection to the Disha Salian and Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.
“We have received an application from Sooraj Pancholi and an enquiry is on,” said Versova police station’s senior inspector Raghvendra Thakur.
Sooraj Pancholi has stated in his complaint that he is being defamed over various social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and has denied all the accusations of being linked to Disha Salian and Sushant Singh Rajput.
“Sooraj has been harassed since Sushant and Disha’s deaths, owing to fake news that was carried by sections of media, social media, and YouTube. He has filed a complaint against certain media houses, Youtubers, and certain people who have been spreading fake news and conspiracy theories on Facebook. He wants the rumor mongers to be accountable for the mental harassment caused to him, and also, they must prove the baseless charges leveled against him,” told Sooraj Pancholi.
Many accusations were made that Disha Salian was pregnant with Sooraj Pancholi’s baby which the actor has denied saying, “I don’t even know who Disha is, I have never met her in my life. I found out about her after Sushant’s death, and I feel bad for the families involved.”
After coming across a lot of criticism over internet, the actor wrote to the social media, “Complete bullsh*t!! #F*ckYouFakeMEDIA Is this the media we are supposed to trust?? That girl in the picture which was clicked in 2016 is not “Disha Salian” that is my friend @agaur21 (Anushri Gaur) who doesn’t even live in India. Please stop brainwashing people and PLEASE stop harassing me and dragging me into this! Start being responsible of your actions as it can ruin someone’s life! I have said this before and I’m saying it again “I have never met or spoken to Disha Salian in my life” Seriously F*CK YOU AND F*CK YOUR FAKE NEWS! I’ve had enough.”
Both the deceased, Disha Salian and Sushant Singh Rajput, lost their lives in June. Death of the two has led to huge outrage in the country. Disha Salian was Sushant Singh Rajput’s manager a few months before his death.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging in his Mumbai house on June 14 while Disha allegedly committed suicide after jumping from a high-rise building in Malad area.
