A man, who was booked for murdering his 13-year-old daughter, committed another murder to fake his own death by passing off the dead body as his own. He was on parole and his wife was also part of the grisly plot.

36-year-old Sudesh Kumar was charged with the murder of his 13-year-old daughter in 2018. He was released on parole in view of the Covid-19 pandemic during the process of decongestion of prisons.

Ghaziabad police found a dead body with a severely burnt face in the Loni area of Ghaziabad on November 20. During the search, Sudesh’s Aadhaar card was found. His wife also identified the dead body as Sudesh’s.

The police received information that Sudesh is alive and then checked the CCTV footage of the area. In the CCTV footage, a man resembling Sudesh was seen carrying a corpse on his bicycle.

After getting a tip-off about Sudesh’s visit to his wife, the police raided the place and booked him. During the investigation, he admitted that he was scared of going back to jail and being convicted for his daughter’s murder.

They called a labourer for some repair work. The duo got him drunk and allegedly killed him by repeatedly hitting him on the head.

“Sudesh then burnt the labourer’s face so that he cannot be recognised and disposed of the body,” the police said.
