Court Marriage Procedure in Noida under Special Marriage Act consists of the following important steps
1. Notice of Intended marriage
A notice has to be given in writing in the form, as prescribed in the Second Schedule, to the Marriage Officer of the District in which at least one of the parties to the marriage has resided for a period of not less than 30 days immediately preceding the date on which such notice was given.
2. Publication of notice for not less than 30 days
The Marriage Officer shall cause every such notice to be published by affixing a copy thereof, to some conspicuous place in his office which shall be visible to the public for inspection for a period of thirty days to raise objections to the intended marriage if any.
3. Objections to marriage, if any
While such objection to the marriage if any shall be on the ground that it would contravene the conditions so specified.
4. Declaration by parties and witnesses in the Form prescribed
If there are no objections or the objections have been well resolved then the parties make a declaration mentioning their marital status, birth record, address record, etc.
5. Place and form of solemnization of marriage
After the declaration, the parties are allowed to marry either before the registrar or at the place so desired.
6. Marriage Certificate
Once the marriage is solemnized then the registrar of marriage shall issue the marriage certificate.
